About Us

The Home Company is beautifully located within the historic High Corn Mill in Skipton, North Yorkshire. Established in 1981 as Pottery & Pine, we have continually developed to keep pace with the ever-changing designs and fashions in home furnishings.

We have gradually expanded the business to the stage where you can now furnish a complete house from the one store.  Indeed, we have worked with local builders to produce stylish, modern show-homes.

The latest expansion was completed in 2009 with the addition of a fabulous new showroom overlooking the Springs canal to bring total floorspace to over 5000sq.ft. This new area includes a dedicated “Stressless” Studio, where you will find one of the largest collections in Yorkshire of these supremely comfortable recliners, sofas & corner groups.  There is also a large section devoted to contemporary glass and lacquer dining and living room furniture.

A large section of the shop is dedicated to beautiful Oak dining and bedroom furniture. For the Dining Room, there are tables of all shapes & sizes, from a compact kitchen table right up to tables that can seat up to 12 people. And bedrooms of all sizes & styles are also catered for, from a bright modern painted range to leather beds and oak wardrobes & chests.

Whilst you may be able to make your choice from our website, we would always recommend that you visit the store to touch the furniture, feel the fabrics and see the colours – only by experiencing our furniture in reality can you tell the quality and make the right choice.

Open 7 days a week. Monday to Saturday 9.00am - 5.00pm. Sundays 12noon - 4.00pm
